The Director of IT Operations is responsible for the analysis, design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of all facets of the Information Technology department, and motivating the team of contractors for all O&M within the USSOUTHCOM constructed networks.
Individual in this role, will oversee employees engaged in providing information system solutions and technical support to our customers IT Enterprise supporting in excess of 10K users. Will be supporting multiple functional areas.
The Director of Operations is responsible for:
Defining, implementing and revising operational policies and guidelines for the organization
Developing and executing new growth directives
Working with the human resources department to create job descriptions, hire competent personnel and oversee employee training programs
Working with the team to develop and implement staff evaluation parameters
Liaising with departmental heads to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide operational compliance
Keeping track of the company’s revenue margins and conduct budget reviews to maximize profits
Overseeing client support services
Managing procurement and resource allocation
Qualifications should include:
Excellent leadership and organizational abilities
Superior knowledge of industry regulations and operational guidelines
In-depth knowledge of data analysis software packages
Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) packages
Outstanding negotiation skills
Excellent written and oral communication
Proven knowledge of performance evaluation metrics in a business setting
First-class people skills
Experience managing a large team of no less than 50+ personnel.
Should include experience supporting geographically dispersed teams. (SCITES AOR includes South and Central Americas.)
A minimum of three years of experience and demonstrated knowledge of DoD IA policy and guidelines.
A minimum of six years of experience as an Operations Lead in a program environment.
Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Desire an individual that has or willing to attain certifications as required in DoD 8570 Baseline Information Assurance Manager (IAM)-III level (i.e. CISSP, CISM, CASP etc.)
This role falls under Key Personnel and is a sector-level role.
