At GDIT, people are our differentiator. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Improves business processes and supports critical business strategies by supporting other SPM personnel, as well as other Engineering Systems organizations with understanding and applying the Engineering Systems SDLC to their programs. 
  • Maintains Software and Firmware SOW section Performs continuous improvement activities in the areas of process and planning, development of process and performance metrics, and implementation and institutionalization of process tools. 
  • Responsible for the maintaining and upgrading the SDLC and supporting processes. 
  • Acts as the standards expert at external supplier proposal and review meetings, as required. 
  • Takes the lead for external supplier audits. 
  • Interfaces with multiple projects on an ongoing basis. 
  • Conducts SDLC and tools training. 
  • Must be a self-starter. 
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Mentors junior staff members.


  • Bachelor’s degree in process improvement area of specialty
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • Experience in the process improvement field or in a related area.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining DevSecOps processes within a DevSecOps or software process management team
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures standards (e.g., SEI CMMI®, IEEE, and ISO9001). 
  • Experience in software development life cycle methodology

The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.  We can only accept Green Card Holders or US Citizens for this program.
