At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Customer Services and Information Technology Officer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to provide Tier 1 support and Resolve technical issues over the phone. In this role, a typical day will include:
Work with a team of highly motivated technical support personnel.
Resolving technical problems and answering queries by telephone or self-service that involve computer hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications systems.
Performing remote desktop triage and system repair using remote tools.
Resolving critical IT-related issues that negatively affect the customer’s mission.
Serving as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Minimum of 6 years related experience.
Technical Skills: Active Directory, Windows 7, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and demonstrate hardware/application troubleshooting skills.
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures
Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues
Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software
Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels
Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions
Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations
Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users
May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
May serve as a team or task lead
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS or equivalent, 5+ years of experience
