GDIT is seeking Oracle EBS Functional SME who understands multiple and specific module configurations and integration with major functional areas. Translates customer requirements into a best fit within the application and develops processes and documentation that support the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Contributes overall strategic vision and integrates a broad range of ideas regarding implementation and support. Provides expertise and sought as a resource for resolution of unique or complex support problems. Delivers accountabilities in accordance with approved SDLC processes.
The Functional Expert will need to have Oracle applications functional experience with various financial modules among General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable(AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Federal Financial (FV), Cash Management, and Purchasing (PO).
This is primarily an on-site position in Baltimore, MD. However, given current COVID situation, the candidate can work remotely from home until more instructions are available for a safe return to work.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Experience in documenting requirement, perform fit gap analysis and write functional specifications.
Conduct user sessions to collect and analyses business requirements. Experience with Oracle Federal Financials and working with Federal clients, with strong financial & business background.
Serves as a top level functional expert supporting clients and unlimited user groups.
Instructs users on use of new features/changes to the application.
Performs highly specialized technical tasks associated with cutting-edge technologies.
Works with user groups to solve business problems with available technology including hardware, software, databases, and peripherals.
Follow up with the next level tech to make sure no ticket is left behind without a solution.
Applies expert functional knowledge and experience to significant business projects or processes.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant developments in area of expertise.
Develops documents and executes Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Reports problems which might affect total customer operation performance to customer’s management and to direct manager.
Required Skills and Experience
BA/BS (or equivalent experience) and 10+ years of experience in implementing ERP systems.
Oracle Federal Financials FV, GL, AP, AR, PO, CM.
Knowledge of Oracle SQL / PL-SQL – ability to write queries using TOAD.
Knowledge of Oracle USSGL Accounting.
Knowledge of ServiceNow Tools.
Oracle R12 experience.
Candidate should be US Citizen or Green Card holder; and must have resided in the U.S. for three of past five years to meet the Public Trust residency requirement for the CMS customer.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience in a Federal environment
Strong working experience leading software implementation process, including implementation and QA, experience working in an Agile environment.
