Bridge Resource Management Instructor will provide training and instruction to MSC Ships crews and Masters.   

The Exportable Bridge Resource Management Course Instructors will be required to teach, maintain and update the Exportable Bridge Resource Management course. 

Curriculum development, Microsoft Office PowerPoint and creating graphic presentations experience is preferred to maintain and update the MUTC training courses. 

The Exportable Bridge Resource Management home base will be located at the MSC/MUTC government operated or contracted training facilities in Hampton Roads. The Exportable Bridge Resource Management Course Instructors will be required to instruct the Exportable Bridge Resource Management course in Hampton Roads, VA, San Diego, CA and onboard MSC GOGO and GOCO ships around the world.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a Maritime discipline plus six years as licensed Marchant Mariner Deck Officer Master Unlimited/Oceans with comprehensive knowledge of US Navy AND MSC operations and cultures.
• Former MSC Merchant Marine with a Master’s license or a Navy retired O-6 (Navy Captain) with deep draft or equivalent command experience. 
• This comprehensive knowledge requirement may be attained through various career paths but shall include a combination of Navy Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) experience (surface command experience preferred), a current senior level Merchant Marine Unlimited Deck License (Master Unlimited/Oceans preferred) and sailing experience on MSC or other US flagged commercial ships of comparable tonnage and routes to the ships being trained. MSC must approve in advance any instructor recommended by the contractor to instruct this course
• Must possess Navy Instructor certification or completed a USCG Train the trainer course. Will be required to complete a USCG Train the Trainer course within 30 days of on hire. 
• Must have experience training a military and civilian mariner environment. 
• Must have a Secret security clearance.
