General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is looking for a Database Programmer in Wilkes-Barre PA to join our team supporting the USPS.
This program only accepts US citizens and/or Green Card Holders. The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.
Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Strong knowledge of several of the following skillsets:
10+ years of experience with the following:
SQL, PL/SQL (experience including but not limited to the creation of packages, procedures, tables views, functions, etc)
Build/maintain efficient database tables structure for both transactional and warehouse data
Oracle partitioning practices and data archival structures and processes Oracle (11g and 12c)
Experience developing/tuning Oracle for use with Micro-Strategy, Standard Web Design and Responsive WebDesign
Automated Testing Tools & Dev Ops
MS Office Suite
Working knowledge of one of more of the following qualifications: • Ability to translate business requirements to database structure • Ability to communicate a database design to development staff • Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies • Ability to prepare cost estimates • Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices • Strong facilitation skills to effectively lead discussions across multiple groups • Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc)
