Senior Test Engineer

Job Description

GDIT is working on a multi-year Hyperion Planning Implementation Project for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS).  GDIT will continue to maintain and host this Hyperion Planning environment after the initial implementation.

We are seeking a Senior Testing Engineer to manage the requirements, planning and execution of test activities across the program and serve as an interface point with the CMS, the GDIT Healthcare Integrated General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS) team, and other stakeholders. The Testing SME for the Hyperion project will assist with the overall Hyperion application level testing efforts. Position is for full time employment out of our Baltimore, MD office. You must be able to work onsite full time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and conduct all testing phases along with User and third-party testing for new and modified application components.
• Track defects and confer with developers or functional resources to resolve them.
• Triage and communicate across teams to coordinate and execute all test activities.
• Define the test approach to accommodate contingencies without compromising the quality of code delivered to the Client.
• Strategize and develop requirements traceability around testable requirements and ensure complete coverage during test execution.
• Conduct Hyperion test activities and coordinate with test teams to ensure timely, orderly test execution. 
• Maintain process documentation. 
• Execute and monitor testing to ensure established processes are followed. 
• Attend status meetings, entry and exit review meetings.
• Obtain CMS sign-off on test scripts and test activities, as required.

REQUIRED SKILL AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s S degree + 8 yrs related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years’ experience and technical knowledge with test methodologies and software quality assurance.
• Ability to write and execute test cases with minimal supervision.
• Experience using tools for reporting and tracking test cases and defects.
• Extensive experience in defining test approach and flexibility to accommodate contingencies.
• One experience designing and supporting automation testing.
• Only US Citizenship and Green Card Holder can be considered for this position. ​

• Expert Knowledge of ALM.
• Experience Testing in an Agile environment.
• Experience using ServiceNow.
