Essential Tasks Include:

  • Work with Federal field staff to capture, document, and update business processes and procedures that pertain to their roles and responsibilities.
  • Engage with subject matter experts to document knowledge for the purpose of creating and/or updating Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain a library of processes and procedures and promote sharing of information/knowledge.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers and trainers to ensure training material reflects current policy and procedures. 
  • Support the development and updating of training material and instructional guides for use by Federal field staff.
  • Assist with the creation of process documents, job aids, instructional guides, and other handouts.
  • Assist with training content development as needed.
  • Lead special projects as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, social work, or other related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience developing knowledge artifacts and maintaining content within a knowledge base.
  • Proven proficiency with developing and maintaining processes and procedures. Ability to effectively capture existing processes and document thoroughly and succinctly in written form.
  • Experience managing and building SharePoint based sites and utilizing other MS Office tools and applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Prior experience working with refugees or other vulnerable populations.
  • Prior experience leading and managing projects is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong technical and editing skills.
  • This position may require the ability to obtain a Public Trust.
