Cyber Security Lead

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Cyber Security Lead with experience in a dynamic Cloud environment. For this effort, GDIT will use cloud based concepts to migrate and support a Government agency’s critical business applications by using customer-centric and ITIL-aligned service delivery models.   The application of these concepts will result in a framework for integrating commercial off-the-shelf, non-proprietary technologies to avoid “vendor-lock”. 

The Cyber Security Lead will have extensive experience with cloud computing and is able to achieve continuous improvement in the security of Cloud accesses and data with focus on information security system engineering and security architecture. She or he must demonstrate an exceptional work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a background in strategic planning. They must be able to work with a diverse team supporting multiple stakeholders, often with differences in priorities, to establish clear, attainable solutions and project plans to achieve intended outcomes. Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to work in a multi-disciplined environment with excellent communication skills, both oral and written along with analytical skills to troubleshoot IA issues. Must be able to apply intensive and diverse knowledge to problems and make independent decisions. Must be a team player able to work professionally and collaboratively with the government customer and other members of the project team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a client focus. 

Required Skills

• Experience in cloud platforms and technologies including cyber security, information assurance, network security, computer information systems, computer science, or management information systems.
• Experience in working with DIACAP, Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs, and IA Controls
• Experience with Anti-Virus, Intrusion Detection/Protection Systems, Firewalls, Active Directory, Vulnerability Assessment tools and other security tools found in large network environments.
• Experience in understanding of common network services (DNS, web, mail, FTP, etc.), network vulnerabilities, and network attack patterns.
• Experience identifying data patterns, providing metrics, diagnosing problems and providing intelligence for business operations by using tools such as SPLUNK
• Experience in understanding and familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and ITIL methodology and processes.
• Experience of managing network protocols.
• Experience in Microsoft and Linux including Red Hat and systems Administration.
• Experience with technologies, including Active Directory, Windows Administration, scripting, and Windows configuration techniques
• Experience with networking devices including routers, switches, and firewalls

Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, including architecture and penetration testing, firewalls, encryption, security monitoring, event and anomaly analysis and intrusion detection/prevention.
• Cybersecurity certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP, GCIH, GCIA, GSEC, OSCP, CHFI, CEH)
• 3+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure (i.e. AWS, Azure)
• Understanding of common hacking techniques (e.g., malware, etc.) and effective counter measures.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline

Desired Skills

• Experience with ServiceNow
• Experience working in Agile teams

Education and Experience

• 8+ years of experience securing data leveraging FedRAMP and NIST securing controls
• Bachler’s degree in an IT related field

Clearance

• Active DOD Secret Clearance or ability to attain
• Top Secret (preferred)

Travel

• Primarily remote with some travel required to client site (see below)
• May be required to attend planning events or to work from a secured location

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 7+ years of experience

The likely salary range for this position is $88,870 - $133,304, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
