This position is NOT yet funded Our Intelligence & Homeland Security team has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Statistician to develop and apply fundamental mathematics, mathematical or statistical theory to collect, organize, interpret and summarize illicit finance and other data to generate usable information to advance DIE understanding of Transnational Organized Crime (TOC) networks and trends; with a focus on the Eastern Hemisphere.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Apply mathematical theories and statistical methods to solve practical all-source analytic problems in support of all phases of the intelligence cycle and develop mathematical or statistical models of phenomena for analysis or computational simulation
  • Enable modernization of Eastern Hemisphere TOC analytic processes through the exploitation of new data sources and the integration of Al/machine learning to perform modeling/simulation and conceptualize "big data"
  • Design complex metrics-projects that apply valid scientific techniques and utilize information obtained from baselines or historical data to structure analyses
  • Integrate baseline data associated with broader agency modernization initiatives and database programs of record
  • Plan and perform data collection for projects, determining types / sizes of sample groups and prepare data for processing by organizing information and checking for inaccuracies
  • Process large amount of data for statistical modeling and graphic analysis
  • Develop computer code to automate the collecting and processing of data
  • Prepare ODNI ICD 203 and customer compliant products to describe and document findings and activities
  • Participate in special projects / surge support as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree; substitute Bachelor's degree with an additional 5 years' experience in a related technical or military discipline will be considered
  • Master's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of related experience, with at least a portion of the experience in the past 2 years
  • Substitution Bachelor's Degree with at least 17 years' experience as a substitute to the Master's Degree will be considered
  • TS/SCI Polygraph. Or, the ability to obtain a Polygraph.
