GDIT is seeking a Lead Software/System Architect for a contract providing specialized Information Technology (IT) Engineering Services (ES) and analytical support within the ISR domain to act as a subject-matter expert in software/systems requirements analysis, designs, development, and testing of software, systems, and tools, including development of new work products or enhancing existing applications, systems, or embedded products. Shall be capable of applying necessary principles and techniques to the development of complex software and architectures while participating in research, design/review meetings, analysis of alternatives and other required tasks.

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of demonstrated experience managing diverse technical teams in the design, development, testing and implementation of DoDAF conformant enterprise IT systems and applications

  • Knowledge of web policies stated in DoD Instruction (DODI) 5230.29 and DoD Directive (DoDD) 5230.09

  • Knowledge of NIST RMF as applicable to complex IT systems architecture

  • Active TS clearance with current SSBI

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience managing application development projects in a military Joint Service Environment

  • A current DoDI 8570.01 IA Management (IAM) Level III certification

  • Minimum of five years of experience designing complex IT solution (including cloud)

  • Experience as a developer using the following languages C++, JAVA, Script, Python, Kotlin, Groovy

  • Minimum of five years of experience designing, building, and implementing disaster recovery and continuity of operations solutions

  • A minimum of a Master’s Degree (MA) in a relevant field (e.g. computer science)

  • Knowledge of RMF/NIST, DoD 8500.01 and ICD 501-503

  • Minimum of three years of experience writing and briefing senior leadership.
