GDIT is seeking a Network Engineer to help support our Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management - Next-Gen (JSP ETM - NG) program at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
Due to the nature of work this role entails, telecommuting is not allowed and will require the employee to report full-time onsite.
This shift for this position is Tuesday - Saturday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining network devices (switches, routers) of data and communications networks as part of Network Team.
Work with Tier I/II Service Desk Technicians and cable's team to resolve customer impacting network outages, network changes and activation.
Monitor, assign, and work Remedy tickets ensuring they are resolved within the established Service Level Agreement
Analyzes network topologies, traffic and capacity requirements
Monitor network connectivity
Create Standard Operations Procedures and Shift Reports
Maintain team schedule
Handle all escalations
May work odd hours to support facility maintenance actions to minimize customer impact.
Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Active Secret clearance
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements (Security+ CE or higher)
5 years of network engineering or network administration experience, including 1 year of management experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Hands-on experience with the Network Administration

Active TS or TS/SCI clearance
