Provide operations and maintenance support of government customer’s Linux systems. All work is performed on customer site during normal business days and some off-hours and/or weekend work for emergency support and maintenances.  This includes managing and maintaining Linux servers and devices, update firmware, patching operating systems and applications, and change requests.  Apply systems analysis and engineering technique/procedures to developing complex information systems on multiple platforms and development environments; combine software, hardware, standards and engineering in the development of system architectures. 

Required Skills:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform break fix including emergency after hours onsite support.
  • Analyze security vulnerability scan reports and apply vendor patches.
  • Perform systems analysis, administration and engineering of Linux servers and Red Hat Linux operating system. This includes both hardware and software (i.e., Apache, TomCat, MySQL).
  • Build and install Red Hat Linux servers (physical and virtual) and various Linux applications; perform migrations.
  • Perform tasks and meet deadlines related to various projects
  • Document and maintain runbooks (diagrams, SOPs, and configurations)
  • Mentor and train junior members of the team
  • Perform root cause analysis
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills, and manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
