Identity and Social Media Analyst

GDIT is seeking an Identity and Social Media Analyst who will possess a sophisticated understanding of online social media, online identities and associated tradecraft and use that expertise to produce in-depth analysis and other related analytical products for the customer. The analyst must have excellent problem-solving skills and expert-level technical/IT tradecraft, social media platforms and security and privacy TTPs.  

HOW An Identity and Social Media Analyst  WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Prepare Identity assessments and mitigation documentation (Reports, Assessments, White / information Papers, Briefings, routing / staffing documents, agendas, timelines, trip reports etc.).
• Deconflict, synchronize, and coordinate global identity assessments to achieve customer objectives.
• Develop and manage Identity assessment Training and Education Material.
• Monitors industry and technology trends in traditional, digital, social, mobile media platforms and assessments and uses industry best practice methods appropriate to pre-defined client criteria to assess relevant media products and online communications.
• Employs advanced analytical tools and processes in conjunction with open source/publicly available information analysis to generate historical and predictive representations of relevant entities including characteristics and patterns.
• Responds to requests for information by researching, synthesizing, evaluating, and providing assessments based on multi-sourced information and prepares reports of analysis and makes recommendations to senior leaders.
• Utilizes common open-source tools and software to search and collect publicly available information from the internet and dark web.
• Prepares formal assessments and briefs to the customer in a manner that is easy to understand and demonstrates logical, supportable conclusions and relationships.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in writing/editing correspondence and briefings internal/external stakeholders.
• The ability to interpret and apply established policies, procedures, and guidelines to unique situations or under unique circumstances.
• Ability to analyze, organize and summarize data to ensure accurate records and reporting are maintained throughout the project life cycle.
• Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook,)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8+ years' experience required.
• Excellent oral and written English
• Some travel may be required.
• Experience with accessing, researching, and exploiting social media and digital platforms.
• Knowledge of advanced Internet-based research, including Boolean logic, advanced research techniques, search engine and database resources, and Internet sources, including social media, social networking tools, and commercial and industry-based databases.
• Keen understanding of Open-Source environment.
• Strong understanding of how to use mobile applications.
• Demonstrated comfort with information technology and multimedia software, including publishing and analytics tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
• Clearance Level Must Currently Possess:   DOD Secret
• Clearance Level Must Be Able To Maintain:  DOD Top-Secret Clearance
• Location: On Customer Site
• US Citizenship Required
