We are seeking a Data Science Solution Architect to join our team to support Digital Consulting and Solution activities in the GDIT Office of Chief Technology Officer. As a Data Science Solution Architect, you will be trusted to help drive the technical solutions needed to win our most complex, large-scale, and strategic pursuits as well as extend our existing AI and data analytics portfolio. You will be on the AI and Data Insights capabilities team, a five person team, reporting to the AI Capabilities Lead. This is one our most important roles, and it will give you the opportunity to join a lean team to help define, execute, and grow GDIT’s data science capabilities across the enterprise.
In this role, a typical day will include (Primary Responsibilities)
Develop effective and compelling briefings, proposal materials, reusable artifacts, and related materials for use by our customers, both internal and external.
Lead development of proposal technical volumes and orals presentations
Coach and advise solution architects and proposal support resources
Review proposals and provide critical feedback needed to strengthen our solution
Plan and help execute prototyping and technical implementation efforts
Your success in this role will directly impact GDIT’s technical capabilities across our divisions and fuel our growth. Your performance will be measured by the depth and breadth of technical impact you have on existing programs and in helping us to grow our business.
Education - Bachelor’s degree and 20+ years of related experience;
Years of relevant experience - 7 or more years of data science experience; 3 or more years in Cloud setting;
Certifications - Data Science and Cloud-Native data science specializations;
Expertise in data science and data wrangling best practices, tools, and techniques
Expertise in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning using Deep Learning Frameworks, Analysts Notebooks, and Spark/Python/R Libraries
Experience working with large data sets including data integration, data migration, analysis and visualization
Experience with cloud-native data analytic solution architectures
Ability to attain Public Trust and/or DoD Secret Clearance is a must-have.
Experience with in Hadoop/Spark big data frameworks - including Open-Source and Commercial distributions (Databricks, Cloudera/Hortonworks, MapR) and Cloud-based services (AWS EMR, Azure HD Insight;)
Demonstrated experience developing and scaling engineering solutions for both structured and unstructured data;
Strong communication skills to communicate with customers, support personnel and stakeholders;
Master's Degree is strongly preferred.
