GDIT is seeking a Senior .Net Developer to join our software development team supporting the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) DARRTS program in Rockville, MD. This program has a mature AGILE practice providing full software development lifecycle support for a variety of highly complex business critical systems, including COTS and customized solutions. In this role, you will be part of a software development team and focus on creating multiple capabilities around .NET for these existing SQL Server systems running on an Azure platform and on-prem env.
The FDA is responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation. The FDA is also responsible for: advancing the public’s health by helping to speed innovations that make medicines and foods more effective, safer, and more affordable; helping the public acquire the accurate, science-based information they need to use medicines and foods to improve their health.
Work closely with Technical Lead and MS Architect to implement solutions for Microsoft specific design and development at both infrastructure and application level.
Removing technical and implementation obstacles and barriers to successful delivery
Actively engage and participate technical discussion with engineers
Work with a team of developers and testers to implement user stories in Agile process
Perform hands-on development with C# and .NET
Required Skills and Experience:
8+ years of hands-on experience with .Net and C# application development and design experience for Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, Office 365 applications including Outlook and Word
8+ years of hands-on web service development experience with REST and SOAP
8+ years of hands-on development experience with SQL server
Superb knowledge and experience on both on-prem and Azure related infrastructure set up and configuration
Good analytical skills to understand business requirements and figure out the best way to implement
Excellent oral and writing skills
Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
Desired Skills and Experience:
2+ years of Microsoft Graph development experience with MS Office 365
