The CAEIO team provides mission critical information technology (IT) resources to approximately 250 overseas posts including domestic Passport Agencies Visa Processing Centers Department of State annexes, and contractor sites. The team also supports approximately 10,000 worldwide clients including 1,200 Consular Affairs customers at locations in the Washington DC National Capitol Region.
The program provides enterprise IT support to include: program management; administration support including inventory management and IT acquisitions support; operations engineering and implementation; operations and maintenance, including Service Desk support and infrastructure, applications and database support; onsite systems administration and hardware support/maintenance at domestic consular offices; enterprise operations monitoring; cyber security operations; and disaster recovery support. This will include engineering and installation of new or enhanced services, providing systems administration/ operations support, supporting managed applications, databases, and services, monitoring of IT systems for availability, performance and capacity, and providing end user support through the managed Service Desk.
The Data Center Analyst provides onsite data center support such as; racking and stacking, removal of equipment, cabling new and existing infrastructure, and replacing hardware. Attend weekly meeting with Government Officials and Customers to discuss current and upcoming changes to all Data Centers. Maintain Data Center assets; device name, serial numbers, etc. Provide onsite vendor and customer escorting as needed. Receive and account for all line items of newly purchased equipment. Coordinate hardware installation and power connection requests with site facility engineers. Provide outstanding customer service to internal customers in response to received service requests.
Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
2+ years of directly related experience supporting data center operations and maintenance.
An active Top Secret security clearance or higher is required.
