Job Description

GDIT is looking for a System Integration Engineer to support the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Ordnance Information System (OIS) program as they move their infrastructure into an AWS GovCloud environment. This position will support the Oracle Portal/Middleware lead in providing maintenance and system modifications/modernization/upgrade support of the OIS enterprise portal and supporting infrastructure as the system migrates to the cloud.

Primary Responsibilities:

This position plays a key role in the OIS Infrastructure team with primary focus on the assigned portfolio of Oracle products. This role will work closely with the Oracle Portal/Middleware lead and Infrastructure team to complete the following responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and system modifications/upgrade support of the OIS enterprise portal and supporting infrastructure.

  • Providing an enterprise-wide single sign-on access using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) technologies.

  • Providing enhanced user experience with a consistent brand that conforms to NAVSUP and DoD guidelines.

  • Providing standardized, comprehensive knowledge management tools to ensure the OIS community has the expertise and information it needs to properly assess business problems and opportunities.

  • Technical support with maintaining and deploying baselines, and utilizing the Oracle Application Server in support of OIS.

  • Performing maintenance/administration of servers (Oracle Enterprise Manager), Oracle LDAP, Oracle Fusion Middleware and Maintenance for Development, Test, Production, and Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) Environments.

  • Deploying new/upgraded applications at the direction of OIS Program Management or Project leadership.

  • Ensuring the maintenance of Portal accounts through the User Access Management process along with the OIS access request process.

  • Applying all security patches and requirements according to Cybersecurity directives and apply corrective actions to any findings.

  • Performing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and security reviews of all Portal/Middleware software as directed by Cybersecurity.

  • Provide after-hours support as needed

  • Complete After Action Reports (AAR) for all abnormal operations or other required reporting for system incidents.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have DOD Secret level clearance to start; U.S. Citizen required only for Federal Clearance Requirement

  • Certification Requirement: Directive 8570.1/8140 - IAT II: Security+ (must have in hand to start)

  • Certification Requirement: Computing Environment Certification (any one of following certifications must be obtained within 6 months of start date)

    • Oracle WebLogic Administrator or equivalent Oracle Middleware Certification

    • Oracle Database Certified Associate or equivalent Oracle Database Certification

    • CompTIA Server+

    • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and 6+ years of prior relevant experience

  • Linux or UNIX administration experience

  • Experience with Oracle products or developing and using SQL scripts to manage Oracle RDBMS

  • Self-starter and ability to learn

Desired Qualifications
  • Oracle DBA experience

  • Red Hat Linux experience

  • Oracle Middleware experience to include (Weblogic, Oracle Access Manager [OAM], Oracle Identity Manager [OIM], Oracle Internet Directory [OID], Oracle Unified Directory [OUD], Oracle Enterprise Manager [OEM]).

  • Azure DevOps experience

  • Demonstrated experience in system administration in a Navy / DOD environment

  • Experience with system/application within AWS GovCloud (or other Cloud) environment
