GDIT is seeking a Tableau Administrator to support the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) SANDBAR program.

As a Tableau Administrator, for our Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) SANDBAR program, you would be responsible for monitoring server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Working with business teams to manage user and group permissions, workbooks and projects, database views, data sources and data connections

  • Providing Tableau incident and problem management support
    Contributing significantly to capacity planning activities

  • Developing and documenting standards/best practices for development and administration of the Tableau platform

  • Assisting in development of workbooks and dashboards to support business initiatives

  • Working closely with cybersecurity to maintain a hardened Tableau environment


  • Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance

  • BA/BS (or equivalent experience)

  • 12 or more years’ experience in system administration

  • 3 or more years’ experience in Tableau administration

  • Deep knowledge of Tableau Server architecture

  • Experience in Tableau server maintenance/ upgrades/patches

  • Experience automating tasks like deployment of data sources/workbooks across Tableau environment

  • Experience creating alerts via scripting

  • Proficiency in Tableau command line utility performance tuning

  • Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Load Balancer and Network firewall as they relate to Tableau services

  • Familiarity with DevOps, CICD & Automation pipelines

  • Must have a valid DoD Secret security clearance

  • Info Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification

Desired Qualifications:

  • Linux administration

  • Experience in AWS Cloud environment

The likely salary range for this position is $96,000 - $144,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
