work depends on a QA Analyst/ Test Engineer joining our team to
support our government client’s activities in the Northern Virginia locations.
At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a QA Analyst/ Test Engineer supports and
manages the responsibilities of the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects.The QA Analyst/Test Engineer will support an engineering team. The ideal candidate will support software testing, QA, and CM activities.
Work with software developers and engineers to understand requirements, identify test scope and acceptance criteria for release components
Translate requirements and develop test cases and test plans
Identity software defects and troubleshoot problems for software operating system and applications
Develop and update test case repository
Follow QA release checklist
Provide QA input to improve installation guides and general deployment documentation
Document software defects, using JIRA and report defects to developers and engineers
Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems, as needed
Ensure all test-related work products (i.e. test procedures, test cases) are peer reviewed for quality and content accuracy
Develop and update technical documentation such test reports
Develop and maintain a testing Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
Participate in bi-weekly development team planning meetings to provide testing input
As needed, provide other QA related and Configuration Management (CM) support
Participate in Agile Scrum meetings
Participates in special projects as required
Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and fit with company/customer system architecture standards
MS Degree in a related technical or military discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience. 10+ years of related experience.
Minimum of 4 years of manual software testing experience
Experience testing in all aspects of the system including Java and web-based applications running on Linux servers and Oracle databases
Experience writing test cases, user stories, and identifying software defects
Understanding of Agile software development
HP Quality Center
Automation testing tools such as Selenium
Writing automated test scripts
Experience with CM
Because of the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client, all candidates must hold a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
