Key requirements:

  • Cisco routers, switches and firewalls.
  • Understanding of Enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
  • Network administration and its analysis.
  • Working with complex system implementations and organizational processes to include maintaining network system documentation.
  • Evaluate hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.
  • Participate in major network installations and upgrades.
  • Maintaining the integrity and security of networks and connected systems.
  • Evaluating vendor products and making recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and coordinating installation.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies and document results.
  • Assist in managing program hardware/software.
  • Experience with Cisco VPN.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Secret clearance.

Additional requirement (Optional):

  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Familiarity with scanning for network vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with managing Windows Server 2012-2019 platforms is a plus.

BA/BS degree and 5+ years of professional experience or in lieu of a degree additional 4 years of experience. The potential candidate is preferred to have a CCNA certification.

COVID 19 related information: This position is not a fulltime Telework position, however due to the pandemic, the entire team is currently teleworking. Due to the nature of this position, when needed, the individual will have to go into the GDIT facilities located in Falls Church, VA and California, Maryland to perform some job related functions.
