GDIT is looking for a Systems Analyst in St. Louis (MO) to join our team supporting the USPS.

Responsibilities and duties are listed but not limited to below: 

  • Translates user requirements into system specifications, configuration management plans, life cycle management documentation, and integrated logistics support plans and related operational summaries.
  • Writes specifications user documentation for client or user personnel.
  • Gathers information from users, defines work problems, and designs a system and procedures to resolve problems.
  • May be assigned responsibility for the management of the function, including associated staff.
  • Work with team members and end users to assess and define technical requirements
  • Assist with providing impact/solution option assessments to offer efficient resolutions
  • Initiate configuration and integration with other applications
  • Define testing strategy within system area to ensure the quality of the product
  • Produce high quality documentation
  • Identify issues and provide solutions

This program only accepts US citizens and/or Green Card Holders. The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience
  • Strong business analysis skills
  • Strong understanding of Agile and SCRUM Development Methodologies, all stages of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong understanding of BPMN 2.0 or equivalent visual modeling language for creating graphical flowcharts in order to define business process workflows
  • Experience in facilitating requirement gathering sessions and acting as a liaison between business users and technical teams to gather and document business, system, functional and non-functional requirements
  • Extensive experience in writing detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), Use Case specifications and Process Workflow diagrams using RUP methodology
  • Proficient in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Well versed with Business Process Engineering (BPR); Business Process Modeling (BPM) using Unified Modeling Language (UML); creating activity, use case, sequence, and class diagrams
  • Good technical skills
  • Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems is a plus
