Job Description

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Test Engineer supporting the Customs Border Patrol (CBP) project. We are an established team recruiting for a functional Test Engineer to support the data warehousing team.

We support Custom Border Protection (CBP) to help them accomplish the vision of a streamlined, paperless, single window electronic filing using Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system.

Our team works 100% remote, but candidates must reside in the Metropolitan DC Area to have the ability to go onsite (Ashburn, VA) on occasion.

 

HOW A TEST ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Work with the data and reports development team to create test strategies
  • Create test data for different types of tests
  • Execute and document complex and data heavy test scenarios  
  • Learn new technical tools as needed to complete testing tasks 


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience as a manual tester, automated tester or other IT related role
  • Experience with creating test plans based on gathered requirements and documenting test results
  • Experience working with data-focused testing, such as creating large sets of data, pulling and reviewing output
  • Working knowledge of issue/bug tracking tools (such as Jira)
  • Experience writing new test cases and modifying existing ones
  • Experience with writing SQL to query data from databases
  • Experience running and testing reports
  • Demonstrates understanding of relational databases 
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded
  • Aptitude for picking up technology quickly along with a desire to learn and progress
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with Agile methodologies preferred
  • Experience working with a government client preferred
  • CBP Public Trust Suitability (Interim or Final) needed to start
