Site Lead / Systems Engineer Advisor

This is a Site Lead position and the potential candidate is required to work with the customer and the GDIT team on day to day operations. The environment is very fast paced and the individual needs to be very flexible to meet command requirements at JMRC Hohenfels Germany.

 

  1. Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the team.
  2. Prepare overtime and travel requests.
  3. Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
  4. Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
  5. Sets up administrator and service accounts.
  6. Maintains system documentation.
  7. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
  8. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
  9. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
  10. May program in an administrative language.
  11. Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.
  12. Provides advice and training to end-users.
  13. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.
  14. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  15. Be able to perform ISSO related duties in absence of the team ISSO.
  16. Participates in special projects as required.

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

5-8 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.

 

Experience in managing a teams.

PMP certification desired.

Must have a current IAT Level II 8570 Certification when hired and an active secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

Must be able to pass TESA.
