Join the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. GDIT is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer with Air Force ISR experience to join the GDIT on potential new work at Lackland AFB, VA.
Troubleshoot mission critical C2 devices, radios, network devices, antennas, databases, web services such as SharePoint, and servers. If a fix action is needed, coordinate with PM to secure replacement equipment or open a trouble ticket with appropriate Help Desk.
Provide flexible after-hours outage response for mission critical C2 devices, radios, network devices, antennas, and servers.
Perform and document daily system monitoring and health checks of systems.
Plan and organize sustainment and operational cyber activities.
Establish work standards, methods, and controls for preventative, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance actions.
Determine extent and economy of repair of malfunctioning equipment.
Ensure compliance with technical data, instructions, and work standards.
Track service contract expiration, warranty action, and licensing processes for all Enterprise network and system hardware.
IAT Level I compliant
5+ years of experience
Hardware knowledge of critical C2 devices, radios, radio networks, antennas, databases, webservices, and servers especially those enabling tactical data link and Joint Interface Control Cell operations
