Scan Team Lead

Job Description

  • Responsible for daily reporting of the vulnerability patch management and for monthly submission of the associated SLA.
  • Maintains the templates and databases that drive the scanning activities and vulnerability lists. These activities drive the scanning service and are critical to DC1 operations and risk management.
  • Remediates scanning issues with GDIT Nessus engineers and other GDIT engineering teams.
  • Executes weekly and ad hoc scans and delivers results to customers in accordance with purchased CLINs
  • Engages with Task Order Managers to keep the CMDB up to date with the information required to ensure the reporting is accurate.
  • Works with SNOW team to further automate the reporting and template generation process to introduce efficiencies down the road.
  • Responsible for driving technical service resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through pre- and post-engineering technical/functional support to current and prospective customers.
  • Responsible for providing systems engineering support for customers in a 24x7 service organization.
  • Acts as a lead customer issue resolution engineer and takes ownership of all assigned tickets.
  • Participates on rotating shift coverages, as needed to support organizational goals; Participate in the company on call program, as needed to support organizational goals.
  • Provides technical leadership to internal and external personnel on highly complex system installation and administration activities.
  • Provides technical solutions and escalated support for non-routine, highly complex technical issues. Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced personnel.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 2 years of experience
  • Experience with scanning software is required. Experience with Tenable Nessus is preferred.
  • Windows and Linux Admin experience is required. 
  • Working knowledge of authentication techniques and network operations is required.
