Technical Documentation Manager
Job Summary
Manage 30-50 part-time editors operating across multiple projects for various clients, ensuring resource allocations are adequate for meeting tight deadlines, and monitoring progress of workflows in a fast-paced environment in which hundreds of deliverables and thousands of individual documents are delivered annually. Recruit, train, and coach staff; as well as develop and maintain team guidance materials to uphold clear and consistent quality standards.
Job DescriptionEach year, the funding decisions for thousands of research grants are dependent upon the fair and thorough assessment of scientific merit by a panel of expert reviewers. The proper conduct of peer review is the foundation of sound funding decisions. GDIT supports the scientific merit review of thousands of research grant applications annually, across such topic areas as breast cancer, prostate cancer, military health, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, psychological health, lung cancer, orthopedics, etc. We are currently seeking a Technical Documentation Manager to join our team and assist federal and state government agencies with determining which grant research projects to fund. You will manage a team of 30-50 part-time intermittent, fully remote editorial staff, assigning various project tasks and deadlines, and ensure adherence to established style guidelines, as well as internal and client requirements. Your primary focus will be to supervise the editing process for summary statement documents, which detail the evaluation outcomes of the scientific merit review process and provide critical analytics that inform funding decisions.

U.S. Citizenship Required
The likely salary range for this position is $73,865 - $110,797, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
