At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Administrative Assistant III a typical day will include:
The candidate in this postilion assists this office in overseeing all day-to-day administrative duties. The candidate processes all test requests and schedules all foreign language proficiency tests for Sponsor employees
They manage the schedules to accommodate a myriad of unique needs, including light timelines, mission requirements. disabilities. etc. The candidate in this position coordinates schedules with the teams of testers
These tasks require excellent time management skills, superior communication skills. and the ability to make quick decisions on the spot. The nature of the position demands a high degree of autonomy and latitude in planning, organizing, and decision making to fulfill work requirements
The position requires extensive knowledge of administrative processes and procedures in the Sponsor community, as well as specific Sponsor guidance on foreign language testing. Candidate will juggle multiple other tasks and responsibilities at the same time, while also responding to immediate customer inquiries. Candidate will develop a mastery of office business processes including the material digitalization, learning management system, and metrics tracking systems. Candidate will support our office's engagement and cooperation with our partners
Candidate will take the lead in processing various administrative requirements as they pertain to testing within the office and will train other AAs as needed at times of staffing changes
Candidate will brief examinees on the testing procedures prior to testing and ensure examinees are prepared to test. Candidate will be the primary contact for testing candidates and will be the administrative face of the office. Candidate must have strong inter-personal skill
Candidate must demonstrate assertiveness and prioritization skills to manage competing demands. Duties do not require extensive lifting/moving or the candidate to remain on their feet or travel. The candidate will handle backup duties at times when the office is short staffed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
HS Diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Core hours are 0900-1500
Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Able to perform duties with minimal supervision and some team interaction
