We are GDIT. We support and secure some of the most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects across the country. At GDIT, cyber security is not just a singular part of our mission—it connects every one of us because it’s embedded into every aspect of what we do.

GDIT is your place. You make it your own by bringing your ideas and unique perspective to our culture. By owning your opportunity at GDIT, you are helping us ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on an Applications Developer joining our team to support our Restricted Customer’s activities at Chantilly

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. In this role, a typical day will include:

The Contractor team shall be responsible for contributing to the data ingest, data hosting, and data manipulation from various data sources in support of the Enterprise Data Warehouse. The Enterprise Data Warehouse hosts transformed and aggregated data sets that support canned reports, advanced analytics, and trend reporting across the enterprise.

One of the Sponsor’s components is focused on modernization of the EDW data tier, focusing on implementing more performant strategies for ingesting and hosting multi-structured data sets, considering both relational and non-relational data sets. Additionally, the customer would like the team to formulate strategies and designs for decoupling direct connections to the data tier, and instead propose strategies for utilizing web services.

The Sponsor seeks a team database of developers and web service developer skills that will augment the existing database team. The successful candidates will contribute to designing and implementing data structures and ETL load routines within the existing platform. These candidates will write new data ingestion routines and will look for strategies for improving existing load batch jobs.

Additionally the team will focus on modernization strategies of data hosting, data transport, and data exposure with a focus on performance, security, cost, with the flexibility to store large volumes of disparate enterprise data sets. The team will also help implement services for decoupling direct data base connections by designing a plan for creating a consolidated foundation of programmatically consumable services or Application Program Interfaces (APIs).
