Our work depends on a HEALTHCARE ECONOMIST joining our team to support GAINWELL activities at REMOTELY.
At GDIT, we put our people first. As a HEALTHCARE ECONOMIST supporting GAINWELL, you will be trusted to work on SAS and Python. In this role, a typical day will include:
Perform a broad range of quantitative analysis to inform the design, implementation, and evaluation of Medicaid payment models
Support the development of payment calculations, conduct financial and trend analysis, calculate quality metrics, and perform fast-paced ad-hoc analysis to quickly address client needs
Provide data in support of actuarial, financial and utilization analyses
Research and investigate key business problems through quantitative analyses of utilization and healthcare costs data
Apply machine learning, econometrics/statistics, predictive modeling, return-on-investment analysis, simulation, and data visualization methods to support the development of health policy
Demonstrated quantitative research skills in one of the following areas: applied microeconomics, labor economics, applied econometrics, health policy, program evaluation
Proficiency in performing data analytics
Intermediate level of proficiency utilizing MS Excel including formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, etc.
Ability to explain complex economic and analytic concepts to non-technical audiences
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Master’s in Economics, Public Policy, Health Services Research, or related field.
8+ years experience
Intermediate level proficiency utilizing SQL, SAS and/or other statistical programs
