  • Keying and repairing padlocks and door and safe locks to include master pinning Large Format Interchangeable Cores (LFIC)
  • Installing, repairing, and inspecting file safes, weapons, IPS, and safe locks
  • Servicing and installing mechanical and electrical mechanical keys, locking devices and other hardware
  • On-hands experience with hand and power tools
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Software suite such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


  • Examine locking mechanisms and replace worn pin tumblers, springs, and other parts
  • Receive, inspect, and ship key system materials
  • Inspect GSA containers, vaults, and doors and set combinations
  • Manage electronic key systems
  • Create Master Key Systems and cut keys to code
  • Provide technical field support and warranty assistance
  • Develop procedural documentation, manage work order requests, track hardware receipt and shipments, and support obsolescence management plans
  • Research and present recommendations for new locking hardware

Preferred Certifications:

  • GSA Authorized Safe and Vault Inspector Certification
  • Installation and Operation of the X-10


AA/AS and a minimum of three (3) years' experience

Active Secret clearance
