Event Coordinator (secret required) - Albuquerque, NM

GDIT is looking for an Event Coordinator in the greater Albuquerque, New Mexico area who holds minimum active DOD Secret clearance.

Here’s an opportunity to work for the US Air Force’s most storied and advanced Distributed Training operation. Winner of numerous US Air Force and US Department of Defense training awards over the last 20 years, the Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB, NM is the Air Force’s primary hub for distributed combat training exercises, testing and experimentation.
 

The DMOC architecture integrates synthetic (virtual and/or constructive) simulations across various networks to support a battlespace that accurately models adversary and friendly weapons and weapons systems, focusing on Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance systems. Integrating live, virtual and constructive (LVC) elements, the DMOC is a major contributor to the US Air Force’s Operational Training Infrastructure (OTI). The DMOC paves the way to bridge the gap for fifth generation training in air, space, and cyber domains. We are looking for an innovative and forward-thinking Event Coordinator to help us create state-of-the-art training events. The DMOC is leading the Air Force to the next level of advanced distributed training, and the skills we’re searching for may include:

• Ability to coordinate effective technical support and system planning for complex training environments

• Understanding of multi-national, joint, and Air Force training standards and requirements

• Technical knowledge that supports the real-time resolution of complex battlespace problems

• Develops, organizes, and coordinates technical solutions supporting training events.

Primary Duties

• Coordinates the delivery of complex training programs and supports customer training objectives

• Supports establishment and review of training event content and objectives

• Updates documentation on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and relevance

• Maintains current knowledge of relevant battlespace technologies as assigned

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience

Qualifications

• 2+ years of directly related experience in the development and delivery of technical training programs

• Secret Clearance required to perform job duties

• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment

• Ability to re-prioritize tasking based on evolving customer requirements

Additional skills

• LVC/DMO experience highly desired

• TS/SCI Clearance, DCID 6/4 highly desired
