The selected candidate will support ONE-Net; the premier U.S. Navy Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) network that provides enterprise level support at multiple locations across the globe. Functional Responsibilities

  • Ability to provide 8x5 On Site and 24x7 On Call Support.
  • Answers customer questions and resolves issues. Refers other issues/questions to appropriate personnel/service area/manager for follow up, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Assesses assigned system to determine system security status. Designs and recommends security policies and procedures to implement; ensures compliance to policies and procedures.
  • Designs audits of computer systems to ensure they are operating securely and that data is protected from both internal and external attack.
  • Evaluates highly complex security systems according to industry best practices to safeguard internal information systems and databases.
  • Experience working with internet, web, application and network security techniques and working with relevant operating system security (Windows, Solaris, Linux, etc.).
  • Experience working with NIST Special Publications and C & A process methodology.
  • Experience working with network\systems software and hardware, data, voice or video.
  • Generate, evaluate, update, and maintain certification packages for supported systems and networks.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
  • Knowledge and experience working with the DoD DIACAP process and procedures and DoD Instruction 8500 series.
  • Makes recommendations for preventive measures as necessary.
  • Performs network related duties and functions at the direction of the ONE-NET Operations Manager and/or Functional Supervisor.
  • Provides technical consultation on highly complex tasks; may assist and/or provide limited direction to lower level technical personnel.
  • Responds to more complex queries and request for computer security information and reports from both internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Experience living and working in an OCONUS location.
  • Experience supporting US DoD or US Navy customers and organizations.
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed customers and organizations.
  • Flexibility in adapting to and functioning in demanding and fluid environments or situations.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Interpersonal and communications skills to interact with customers and team members.
  • Skilled in time, priority and task management.

Required Certifications

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Baseline Certification
  • Windows 10 Operating System Certification
  • Windows Server 2012 OR HIGHER Operating System Certification
