Join GDIT, an experienced leader in U-2 operations! We are pursuing this new opportunity and are in need of a Leader with PM experience to supervise a team of mission planners to support global U-2 operations to protect the US and its interests. Note these requirements are subject to change as the customer is still refining the tasks.

  • The Program Manager shall be the Beale AFB onsite prime contractor point of contact, responsible for the overall contractor management, including coordination of all contractor activities, and subcontractor management
  • The PM shall be responsible for reviews, analyses, presentations, evaluations, reports, recommendations, and documentation to support program cost, schedule, and performance requirements
  • These responsibilities shall include but not limited to: analytical, advisory, technical expertise and analysis to U-2 MPC and 99 RS activities
  • The PM under direction of Government Lead will be responsible for a complex, multi-disciplinary program and will facilitate a multi-site program team executing program requirements and operational efforts supporting the 99 RS
  • The PM will be responsible for providing senior management leadership including organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of contract performance and will be directly responsible to ensure up to 24/7/365 continuity of MPC operations and proactively take action to prevent any negative impact to U-2 operations requiring MPC support

General Responsibilities:

  • Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area including technical work, financial and business development activities
  • Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate supervisors, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation
  • Directs program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems
  • Responsible for profitability and revenue growth of assigned program(s)
  • Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits
  • Performs business development activities at all stages, including the preparation and review of technical and cost proposals
  • Performs program financial management services, including financial analysis, budget and cost quote preparation, cost management, reconciliation, and profit enhancement
  • Coordinates and monitors sub-contractor activities and administers subcontractor deliverables and finances
  • Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, consulting agreements and other program documents
  • Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested
  • Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards
  • Participates in special projects as required
  • SCOPE: Manages a medium to large team or department focused on multiple areas. Medium to High complexity

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in one of the following fields of study: Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Significant professional experience in leadership and program management. Minimum of five years’ experience
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance with the eligibility for gaining access to Special Access Programs (SAP)

Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification; as certified by Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA), Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), or Doctor of Philosophy in Business, Management, Finance, or similar field of study from an accredited academic institution
  • US Air Force ISR experience especially in regards to U2 operations, mission planning, and operation centers
  • Knowledge of DoD Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and/or High-Altitude ISR (HAISR) doctrine, systems, and processes
  • Significant professional experience in leadership and program management with operations, technology, development, and sustainment programs
  • Proven experience in innovating and fielding new programs and concepts
  • CI Poly

  • Pass an industry standard workplace physical examination
  • Ability and willingness to work in a demanding, high-stress environment
