Desired Qualifications:

  • DoD IAT Level II certification
  • Master’s degree or 10+ of experience
  • Advanced understanding of the interrelationships within the IT environment with focus on LAN/WAN server and services
  • Ability to mentor others on administrating the server environment
  • Enhanced troubleshooting skills within the server OS as well as both networking and storage technologies
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
  • Senior level knowledge of physical and virtual server support
  • Senior level knowledge of access, permissions and security that gives the clients the access to the data they need to perform their daily activities
  • Hands-on experience developing and supporting large-scale enterprise solutions
  • Shows initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgment, and professionally executes projects with little direction
  • Take ownership of getting project deliverables done on schedule and within budget
  • Leadership ability to effectively motivate, guide and influence others to successful outcomes

Responsibilities for this Position:

As a seasoned leader, you’ll be involved with our client's decision-making process by serving as a front-line interface to users with technical issues and conducting systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies. Your duties may include installing new software, troubleshooting, granting permissions to applications and training users. You’ll also be responsible for the day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems and configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual hardware and network related interfaces on servers. We’ll rely on you to perform, maintain, troubleshoot, and conduct a complete analysis of alerts; create scripts to automate repetitive processes; and work with customers to identify, isolate, and resolve problems with servers that are affecting other services.

Duties and Tasks:

  • Support ACC/A3CI, ACC/A3C, and ACC/A3 in researching, studying, and writing the appropriate documentation that identify the required Command and Control (C2) Operational and Tactical capabilities required to develop improved Information Dominance (ID) leading to Decision Superiority (DS).
  • Responsible for managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems
  • Conduct systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies
  • Ensure architecture is reliable, flexible, integrated and anticipates future needs based on customer requirements
  • Reviews and analyzes performance metrics to optimize environment for efficiencies
  • Executes and maintains Security Compliancy processes and policies
  • Participates in all phases of scientific and engineering projects to include, but not limited to  research, design, development, testing, modeling, simulating, training, and documentation.
  • Supporting area focuses on IT systems, including data link, wireless networks, peripheral devices, and other C2 communications capabilities, that will enable or enhance future concepts.
  • Assist with the development of Operating Concepts and other documentation to explain how the United States (U.S.) military could develop advanced IT systems in an ID/DS capability to enhance their combined effectiveness and compensate for the vulnerabilities.
  • Help identify ID/DS Stakeholders to guide development of a US DOD Roadmap identifying a path from current technologies and capabilities through concept development and acquisition to a Full Operational Capability.
  • Identify the IT capabilities to link aerospace and information-age capabilities with sea and land-based means to create an omnipresent multi-domain defense framework that is self-forming, redundant, secure, and if attacked, self-healing.
  • Provide IT Expertise to develop the integration of kinetic and non-kinetic force application with and within applicable concepts.
  • Develop and maintain functional continuity checklists/Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on assigned tasks.
  • Research, identify, and recommend resources required for task execution and completion.
  • Ensure infrastructure is reliable, flexible, integrated and anticipates future needs
  • Help identify ID/DS Stakeholders to guide development of a US DOD Roadmap identifying a path from current technologies and capabilities through concept development and acquisition to a Full Operational Capability.
