GDIT is working to support the day to day IT, network, and cyber systems for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity (NSWCDDNA) and have an opportunity for an IT Analyst/Specialist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The IT Analyst / Specialist will analyze and diagnose complex computer and communications problems to determine causes and make recommendations as to necessary corrective actions. This includes assisting with the development and deployment of tools to manage, analyze and provide metrics in support of NSWCDD DNA and enterprise requirements.
Review, analyze, and refine IT portfolio management concepts, governance structures, policy, procedures, and processes for managing the IT portfolio to meet Navy IT efficiency mandates.
Assess the ITPR process and dashboard to document process efficiencies and quality process execution. Collect quantitative and qualitative process information through performance management reports, lessons learned and formal assessments. Analyze and evaluate the results and identify and implement improvement opportunities.
Provide services and support to the Enterprise Service Initiative (ESI), Enterprise Service Licensing (ESL) related to the NSWCDD DNA lines of operation analyzing SW requirements to respond to ESI/ESL data calls.
Analyze and provide the NSWCDD DNA SW baseline.
Conduct telecommunications surveys and analyze the communication systems services to ensure they meet the needs of NSWCDD DNA customers.
Review analyze and update IT asset data in the NMCI Enterprise Tool (NET) to reflect an accurate account of NSWCDD DNA IT assets.
Analyze existing and emerging certification and accreditation practices including national level A&A transformation initiatives and recommend a methodology to optimize IA Management and standardize IA baseline certifications across the domain.
Compile and analyze data, from authoritative sources (such as Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), and Host Based Security System (HBSS)), and enter into SharePoint database for NSWCDD DNA leadership review for CS readiness and compliance.
Compile and analyze data, and develop a Fusion/ServiceNow/SharePoint web enabled monthly CS Dashboard for NSWCDD DNA leadership review.
Analyze/Assess any proposed CI changes for impact to the cybersecurity posture, impact to the ISs, IS components, IT asset(s) or applications affected by the change to ensure IS/IT asset stability and compliance with RMF continuous monitoring criteria.
Assist in supporting the organizational domain network portfolio, through research, analysis and assessment of network security supporting production of core Information Assurance and Cyber Security (IA/CS) operational and workforce requirements.
Assist with IT budget management and analysis for Financial Management Board (FMB) budget cycle submissions, IT requirements submissions, the IT Portfolio Dashboard and IT budget data calls. Provide analysis support for accurate and timely submission of certified obligations. Conduct analysis of Spend Plans/Requirement Execution Plan (REP) to determine best use for future IT investments and planning and document findings in an appropriate format.

Associate degree in computer science, information technology, or an equivalent technical degree from an accredited college or university.
Five (5) years of experience in industry, Federal or DoD Help Desk support using a help desk tool such as BMC’s Remedy.
DoD SECRET Clearance
Information Assurance Technician (IAT) -or- Information Assurance Manager (IAM) I, II or III
Demonstrated customer service experience with RDT&E and/or Navy Marine Corp Intranet (NMCI) workstations.
Demonstrated experience with telephone and on-site technical support to employees regarding technical aspects of assigned RDT&E and/or NMCI products.
Demonstrated experience with RDT&E and/or NMCI hardware and/or software products.
Demonstrated experience providing comprehensive IT support including device and network service support, application support, email, and file access.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar technical field.
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
