Job Description

General Dynamics Information Technology, a world leader in Defense IT Systems Integration and Services is seeking a Network Engineer Sr Advisor to join its Air Force (AF) Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Enterprise Product Support (EPS) team to provide modernization, integration and sustainment engineering, sustainment planning, systems/Software (SW)/baseline testing, integrated cyber security support, Enterprise Services Support (ESS), Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) support, cloud migration, and Hardware (HW)/SW installation and removal services for the integrated sustainment of the AF DCGS. This includes lab support for operational, production, and test environments. The required services shall be provided primarily at Robins AFB, GA; Beale AFB, CA; Hanscom AFB, MA; and JBLE, VA, Hawaii, Korea, and Germany. However, support is also required at other locations within the Continental United States (CONUS) and OCONUS.  


HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Designs and configures the network infrastructure

  • Performs technical analyses, documents results, draws conclusions, and makes recommendations to determine the network's effectiveness for possible improvements

  • Examines network capacity and connectivity

  • Compares existing designs of similar network infrastructures and makes formal recommendations to make the infrastructure equivalent

  • Designs, develops, engineers, and implements capabilities to satisfy new requirements

  • Resolves network related incident tickets

  • Administers network equipment. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: BA/BS or MA/MS

  • Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience

  • Required Technical Skills: Security+ required

  • Network Operations Specialist 441 compliant

  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret SCI eligible

  • Preferred Skills: IAT Level 1 desired

  • Location: On Customer Site

  • US Citizenship Required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $122,366 - $204,360. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
