KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running Windows operating systems Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems. Maintains systems documentation Interact with users and evaluates vendor products Research and recommends hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. May program in an administrative language Leverage scripting and system automation tools Develop and oversees implementation of testing strategies and documentation of results. Provides advice and training to end-users. Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced staff members and may have supervisory responsibilities. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice Uses VMware to build and maintain virtual machines.

EDUCATION: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Minimum five years of related systems engineering experience in systems administration and analysis.



May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.

May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 10+ years of experience
