A job opportunity is expected for a Senior Technical Editor for an Affordable Care Account Program Integrity contract. In this role you will prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents related to the program, as well as assist with project management requests. You will report to the Deputy Program Manager and support the Project Management Office in all project management needs.

Responsibilities + Duties
  • Conduct grammatical, spelling, punctuation, structural, and syntax review of analytic and administrative textual content
  • Actively provide the most current formal guidance of prevalent trends and widespread issues
  • Possess ability to track multiple products and deadlines simultaneously and solicit guidance for prioritization of workload to meet the most pressing requirements
  • Research, write, edit, and proofread technical information for use in documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures, specifications, special reports, and any other customer deliverables and documents.
  • Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets USPS editorial specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style.
  • Organize, prioritize, and track the completion of their workload using SharePoint
  • Maintain a high-level understanding of the ACA and stay abreast of policy changes at the national level, which may impact documentation.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, trainings, work groups and quality initiatives as assigned
  • Prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Possess excellent written communication, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Skill in operating a personal computer, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint (and Excel, preferred)

  • Compose documents or correspondence involving technical information
  • Demonstrate strong analytic skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Writing, English, Communications, or other related field plus 3+ years of technical writing experience
  • Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
