At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Administrative Assistant II a typical day will include:
Specific non-task related expectations for your SCMP Resource: daily schedule flexible most days, except for course days. Level autonomy/authority/discretion: Will work with training Officer directly, occasionally with students, could act as a backup instructor on an as needed basis, travel to other buildings-rarely.
Interaction: Both customer facing & behind the scenes, with me and students, sole support; will interact with mid and senior personnel, depending on day
Backup duties: Help with administration of courses, emails, invitations to guest speakers, as well as helping to do "knowledge checks" and provide feedback to students on work in resource courses, with my/lead instructor guidance
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills are required
Minor physical requirements, some moving in classrooms, no lifting/ability to carry weights required
The travel to buildings in WMA aside from Chantilly will be rare, scheduled, and unlikely under short notice.No POV or Gov. vehicle needed.
HS Diploma and 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Core hours for the center are from 6:30am-5pm, arrival and departure times will vary during these times. Currently it is on a rotational schedule for the later shift time
Must possess effective communication skills
Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Able to perform duties with minimal supervision and some team interaction
