Our work depends on a Web Developer joining our team to support restricted customer activities at McLean, VA.

The Sponsor manages an innovation center that is responsible for marketing, customer outreach, portfolio management, and information processing at an enterprise level. Much of the program’s work is performed in collaboration with a partner organization. Program priorities are managed by the staff executive managers. See more details below about some of the Web Developers day to day responsibilities :

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

The Web Developer will design, build, or maintain web sites using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media.  The Web Developer will design and edit web page content, analyze user needs to determine technical requirements, and create web models or prototypes. The Web Developer will maintain existing software and web applications (WordPress, SharePoint, etc).  The Web Developer will provide clear, detailed descriptions of web site specifications such as product features, activities, software, communication protocols, programming languages, and operating systems software and hardware. The Web Developer will create efficient and effective customer outreach and communications mechanisms through the website.  The Web Developer will confer with management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria, or choose solutions. The Web Developer will communicate activities and technical accomplishments to customer. 

The Web Developer will create, prototype, and sustain web-based business solutions. The Web Developer will evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, is properly structured, meets requirements and industry standards and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems. The Web Developer will develop and deploy web applications supporting the program’s business workflow.  The Web Developer will support data sharing workflows and import data from commercial partners.  The Web Developer will automate data ingest processing where possible. The Web Developer will collaborate with all stakeholders to assess business needs. The Web Developer will assist with data life cycle management and support the rapid deployment of web capabilities.  The Web Developer will assist in navigating the security accreditation process and comply with all sponsor security requirements. 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience)
  • 6+ years experience
  • Technical skills-see required and desired skills listed below
  • TS/SCI clearance with a restricted Poly

Required skill sets:

MEAN stack, HTML, CSS, SharePoint, WordPress, and Joomla, AWS, VPC, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), configuring load balancers and security groups, AWS IAM, Unix and Linux, GitHub, JIRA, NoSQL, Tableau

Desired skill sets:

COTS, integrating Sponsor data sets, DevOps, Puppet, Jenkins, data flows across the Sponsor’s enterprise data warehouses
