Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific engineering projects.Participate in a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) environment to develop system-of-systems requirements via system/component trade studies and analysis for the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) mission area. Analyze and document system of system behaviors to meet emerging needs using MBSE tools and prinicples. Develop and maintain architectural views, interface control documentation, and other supporting engineering products, resulting in publishing change notices to the MDA system specification, driving future system capability. Additionally, support analysis to allocate and trace system and element level requirements. Work as member of a multi-discipline team of 5-8 engineers in the execution of these tasks.
Required Qualifications: Individual must possess experience working in a Systems Engineering team and be familiar with MBSE tools and techniques. Must possess experience developing and managing requirements for a complex DoD or commercial program. Experience using one or more of the following common MBSE tools: DOORS, UNICOM System Architect, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, etc. Must demonstrate ability to think critically and effectively convey concepts in papers, presentations, and discussions. Individual must possess good verbal and written communication skills. Must be capable of working both independently and within a small team environment. Individual must have a current, active Secret security clearance.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Degree and experience in an engineering classification, information systems, mathematics or physics: Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD
Systems engineering experience in one-or-more of MDA systems or capabilities similar to: EO/IR sensors, RF/Radar sensors, kill vehicles, missiles/interceptors, threats & countermeasures, target discrimination, or command and control (e.g., C3I, C4I, etc.) strongly desired. Experience with large, complex requirements sets a plus. Experience with DOORS System Administration tasks and dxl and/or VBA scripting a plus.
