GDIT has an exciting opportunity for a Accounting Assistant IV at CECOM Regional Support Center at Joint Base Lewis - McChord, Washington. Must have a current and active Secret clearance. This position also supports embedded personnel at three locations on Oahu, Hawaii and one in Alaska.
Prepare, compile and summarize data received on salaries, awards, overtime, training, travel, planned expenditures and equipment purchases needed for budget estimates.
Provide management with financial information such as: financial reports showing the status of receipts, obligations and expenditures of funds and trend analysis of rates of expenditures. Serve as a financial consultant to management providing guidance on the budgetary process, budgeting formulation and budget execution.
Prepares travel orders and may coordinate travel arrangements for employees as required. Input data into applicable financial systems and is backup support for RSC Bragg Admin duties.
Assist newly hire personnel with the on boarding process, to include review resumes for properly formatting, and guide on initial training requirements.
Assist Site Lead with other administrative function as needed.
Prepare comprehensive analysis reports showing comparisons between Customer Tracking Number (CTN) expenses and various budgets. Skilled in monitoring and tracking financial obligations and expenditures for customer accounts on related budgetary forms, schedules, and reports.
Qualified in implementing organizational budgetary programs, policies and procedures to include management of accounts receivable, accounts payable, petty cash, and trend analysis using historical data.
Proficient in utilizing a wide array of software and web-based applications relating to budget management and to develop, analyze and evaluate financial programs.
Possess strong numerical and analytical skills, excellent planning, organizational and leadership skills while working well under strict time constraints.
AA/AS, 5+ years’ experience
Must have a current and active Secret clearance
