We are seeking a full-time ServiceNow Business Analyst / Testing Lead to join our team to support Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) activities at our Windsor Mill, MD location. As a ServiceNow Business Analyst / Testing Lead supporting CMS, you will be trusted to understand and document customer requirements for software development and maintain ownership throughout the development lifecycle. Additionally, as the Testing Lead, you will be responsible to coordinate a matrixed team tasked with ensuring that full and final testing of development items are functional and compliant with customer expectations and defined requirements.
You will be part of a 250+ person team supporting CMS’s HIGLAS Hosting, Operations & Maintenance (HOM) program. Ultimately this is primarily an on-site position in the Windsor Mill, MD area. It will start out as fully-remote due to Covid-19 and may morph into a hybrid pending broader GDIT guidelines – TBD.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Coordination and facilitation of requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders
Establishing relationships with key customers and stakeholders, maintaining a collaborative partnership that keeps appropriate individuals updated and informed
Regular collaboration with the ServiceNow (SN) development team to edify them (as needed) in regards to the underlying business processes that have led to requests for development
Translating captured functional expectations into actionable requirements for the ServiceNow development team
Leading a matrixed team of testers through various stages of testing in the development lifecycle; ensuring that quality and consistency is maintained through to final delivery with related traceability
Documentation of requirements, test plans and scenarios, testing schedules and results, project updates and all requisite communications
Research, experimentation and incremental advancement of automated testing capabilities on SN platform
Other duties as assigned
BS/BA degree related to Information Technology or in support of Technical Writing, and 8+ years relevant Business Analyst (BA) or software development experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Experience working with customers to understand requirements and implementing information technology solutions / initiatives.
2+ years of direct experience with the ServiceNow platform in an BA/Process or Developer role
Understanding of SDLC and Agile development processes
Highly effective teamwork and collaboration skills in a matrixed organization
Strong people interaction skills regardless of audience. Able to communicate and listen well with business and technical people, regardless of title, with good self-awareness.
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Attention to detail; a high bar for quality results
Ability to juggle multiple tasks in parallel with an awareness for evolving prioritization
Strong written communication skills.
Ability to type fast and accurately, even while others are watching on-screen
Capable with core components of Microsoft Office 365
Certified ServiceNow Administrator, Business Process Analyst or other ServiceNow certification is a plus
Business Analyst certification(s)
Familiarity or experience with automated testing, particularly ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF)
Experience with various software testing methodologies
Project Management fundamentals
ITIL foundations certification
Self-motivated to keep learning more about the ServiceNow platform, capabilities and best practices and apply/share them with teammates and our customer
