At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an IMPC Technician, you will be trusted to work independently and deliver agile solutions. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Maintaining good communication with the team
  • Pace of work will vary day to day depending on requirements
  • Use of a standard item master (catalog) to ensure that the material is categorized the same, making procurement, transferring inventory/assets, and reporting easier and more accurate
  • Add new items to catalog, update existing records, and inactive items
  • Responsible for maintaining the item master data
  • Analysis is required, but processing may become monotonous
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is absolutely critical
  • Ability to research is very important
  • Using intermediate skills with MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Using basic skills with MS Excel and Outlook, Sponsor Accounting System, Sponsor Package Tracking System, Sponsor Access Request System, Sponsor Management Authorities System, COGNOS
  • Use the ability to use good judgment and personal initiative in recognizing appropriate action to be taken for completion of tasks is a must
  • Assist process improvement teams within the Office to respond to auditability actions and participate with the office on future Enterprise Tracking System
  • Must have the ability to professionally interact with customer base to set up drop off appointments and work with them face to face and via electronic means


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma
  • 2 years of experience
  • Candidate should have the ability to move material and/or upload/download trucks by hand or by using material handling equipment (ie. forklifts or pallet jacks)
  • Candidate must be able to lift things weighing up to 70 lbs
