Be a part of the men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges! General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator to support the Navy Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Indiana

Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage system resource in the monitoring of performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability 

  • Implement security procedures, resolve hardware and software interface and interoperability problems 

  • Ensure system availability, functionality, integrity, efficiency, and maintain system configuration and documentation 

  • Manage and maintain enterprise level servers and infrastructure 

  • Experience in multi-site and multi-domain migrations 

  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. 

  • Develops and implements testing strategies and document results. 

Additional Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure IT (Systems Administration -Windows, Network Administration, AD/GPO and/or Virtualization) 

  • Extensive experience with Active Directory, to include working within and building out Zero Trust security structures 

  • Experience with creating, editing, and managing GPO and GPO deployment 

  • Knowledge and familiarity with DISA STIGs, POAM creation and updating, perform workstation, server, and application scanning to determine vulnerability risks 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows workstations and servers, including Windows 10, 2016, 2019 (Server Core and Desktop Experience), SQL Server 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM and WSUS, including role-based administration, monitoring of site health, building, or capturing Windows images, and task sequencing 

  • Knowledge of mass changes of Windows workstations and servers through SCCM or other technologies

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • 5+ years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis as enumerated abov

  • Experience with deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise configuration and application management solutions using Microsoft SCCM 

  • Experience with developing deployment, configuration, and reporting solutions using Microsoft PowerShell 

  • Security+; CASP or CISSP – Preferred  

  • Secret clearance
