The Network Architect / Project Manager will design, plan the installation and implementation of on-going IT Fit-outs, plan and execute expansion and support to exercise network systems, and facilitate coordination with coalition partner network equipment for MPE related exercises.
Provides oversight and supervision for a team of 10-20 contractors and subcontractors and their assigned deliverables. Must be able to provide GO/Executive level briefs, translating technical solutions into operational mission and update briefings. The PM must be able to extract pertinent weekly status updates from the team and ensure this is included in weekly updates.
The Network Architect / Project Management will maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and upgrade existing network components as required. The Network Architect will be able to configure and support internal and external networks and firewalls. The Network Architect will troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues. The contractor shall work with SME’s to resolve complex system issues, and train users on new hardware and software.
The Network Architect / Project Manager must be able to perform the following:
Analyze voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.
Configure routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, and TACLANES, (specifically Brocade and Juniper and General Dynamics TACLANES) to support the USAREUR MPE-related network environments.

Plan, design, install, maintain, troubleshoot, resolve problems and perform network asset management of Brocade switches and routers, Juniper routers and firewalls, firewalls, proxy servers, Intrusion Protection Systems (IPS), and encryption devices such as TACLANES
May provide technical support and troubleshooting to users.
Configure VPN tunnels on Brocade and Juniper devices and configure TACLANES, including installing encryption keys.
May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participate in special projects as required.
Secret (SSBI) Level Security Clearance
RCDD Required CCNP required.
IAT Level II Certification is required at start.
Bachelors degree and 15-20 years or more years of related information technology experience are preferred.
Candidate must be able to obtain a German TESA/SOFA approval.
