GDIT is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with significant experience in Model Based Systems Engineering.
The position will support a US Air Force program that is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing America's Strategic Deterrent Force. GDIT will develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution which enables and integrates the program’s complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program’s lifecycle. This effort will culminate in an abstracted, highly transportable environment delivered to the Government, to be instantiated “virtually” on the Government’s network infrastructure, and updated during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of weapon system development.
The successful candidate will have experience using Digital Engineering Environment tools, and will be familiar with the design and deployment of development environments using cloud architecture.
The candidate should be able to perform high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of very complex application that require a thorough knowledge of administrative and technical skills. The candidate should have experience directing and participating in all phases of system development with emphasis on planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases (IV&V and DT&E). The candidate should have experience applying higher-level business or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at automated engineering solution. The candidate must be able to design and prepare technical reports and related documentation, and make charts and graphs to record results. The candidate should also be experienced in the preparation and delivery of presentations and briefings as required by the Task Order. The candidate may be required to serve as Task Leader, responsible for ensuring the quality and services delivered for particular task(s) in the Task Leader position.
Required Skills include:
Experience constructing models using OMG standards such as SysML, UML and UAF
Experience working with No Magic modeling tools such as Cameo Enterprise Architecture, Cameo Systems Modeler and MagicDraw
A working understanding of SysML and DoDAF
Experience working with cloud environments from a major cloud provider, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or IBM
Familiarity with the SAFe Scaled Agile Framework and Lean Agile operations, or ITIL certification
A current secret clearance
Desired Skills Include:
Experience applying MBSE
INCOSE certification at least to the level of Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
INCOSE certification at the level of Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP)
OMG OCSMP certification
Programming skills for tool chain integrations and plug-ins (Java)
