Military Health Product Owner (Multiple Locations)

As a Product Owner supporting Military Health, you will be trusted to work on enhancing business and technical processes, as well as solving complex problem solving. This role will be Remote based out of Falls Church, VA. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Applying senior-level knowledge of Healthcare IT systems to assist in development and continuous improvement of a next generation HIT solution
• Participating in Sprint planning and daily Scrum meetings as part of the Agile approach
• Producing the Product Roadmap; manages, maintains, grooms and prioritizes the Product Backlog
• Working with technical leads, architect and program manager to update the Technology Roadmap for the program
• Interacting regularly with client stakeholders to define needs and establish processes
• Identifying trends and insights, and develops client solutions based on the insights
• Brainstorming new and innovative approaches for client solutions as well as improving use of Agile methodology
• Evaluating emerging technologies; provides thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
• Analyzing business, clinical and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems
• Coordinating with business and technology teams ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, execution of users acceptance and may coordinate testing, and system techniques and controls
• Managing requirements and product features, prioritizing the team backlog of work in alignment with client priorities
• Conducting product demonstrations with client and internal stakeholders for work in progress
• Conducting research and assessment of business goals and objectives, and align information technology solutions with business initiatives
• Developing and maintaining project strategies
• Developing ad-hoc whitepapers, briefs and other artifacts as needed

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 8+ years’ experience as a product owner, business analyst or clinical process analyst
• 2+ years’ experience with EMR/EHR systems
• 2+ years’ experience working with clinical and business workflows preferentially within a DoD environment
• Complete T3 or higher Background Investigation
• Requires knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes, and workflow
• Experience working with ASC X12, HL7 and other standards
• Experience with healthcare information technology and data analytics
• Ability to perform research and analysis of business processes, and the development of protocols to address issues or improvement opportunities
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a NACLC (T3)

The likely salary range for this position is $103,272 - $172,453, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
