GDIT is seeking Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) System Administrators. The integration and employment of cybersecurity activities for DODIN operations with internal defensive cyber operation measures in response to vulnerabilities and threats to reduce risk across the cyber battlefield. As Systems Administrator, you will be serving on a team that supports USSOUTHCOM IT systems, to include one-of-a-kind cyberspace operations systems.
Mus be an experienced Windows Administrator with problem solving and customer relationship skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems and performs system capacity analysis and planning
Documents and maintains servers, creates monitoring reports and logs, and ensures functionality of system links
Monitors systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establishes back-ups, and monitors systems security
Applies the appropriate OS and Application security patches in a timely manner
Supervises technical staff; develops and coordinates project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impacts on the customer organization
Performs multiple tasks concurrently and responds to emergency situation effectively
Plans, executes, and adheres to backup policies and Disaster Recovery procedures
Follows Authorized Service Interruptions procedures when appropriate
Additional skills that would help with position success:
A problem solver who, can get in, be given a project, and use an engineering implementation plan and make it work from cradle to grave
Has or is willing to gain some more diverse IT skills, including Linux, networking, or mission-related applications
Able to build systems from the OS through the application
Solutions architecting experience
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience
Minimum two (2) years of System Admin experience (Multiple levels available).
Minimum DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
Baseline Certification is Security+ CE
MCSA Server 2016.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communications skills.
Active TS/SCI is required to start.
Shift work may be required to support real-world or contingency operations in the NOSC.
Some Travel may be required.
MCSE is desired.
